Rev Up for Revival
Have you ever noticed a flower in a vase that starts to wilt? It looks droopy. The truth is the flower is thirsty and it just needs water. Once you water it you begin to see it stand back up like it was intended. Like the flower, when the mundanes of everyday life make us wilt and droop, we just need water. When we realize we are thirsty and go to the Living Water we begin to stand tall and firm in our beliefs. You have heard Tim invite you to revival, you have seen the video and you have read the bulletin. But, that nudge in your heart is God sending you your own personal invitation to come spend time in His presence. God will be there. Will you?
What is a revival? According to the dictionary, revival is an improvement in the condition or strength of something. A revival speaks of something dying and needs to be brought back to life! Do you need to be renewed? Psalm 85: 6, “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” We must repent and get our hearts ready. Once we have repented we must prepare our hearts. Psalm 51: 10, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” We must look in our own hearts.
Once our hearts are ready let’s begin to pray for God to stretch out His hand to heal and perform signs and wonders in Jesus’ name. Let’s watch the Holy Spirit fill our hearts! Acts 4: 30-31, “‘Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’ After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” Let’s rev up for revival!
