A Lot of Asks

“Our members have had a lot of asks.”  That was Pastor Tim’s comment to the staff as he reported how well PVMC is doing!  For “Such a time as this” we received almost $180,000.00!  You all showered the staff with a beautiful Christmas love offering.  We finished the year almost $75,000 above budget and this is not including our love offerings, the bus being paid off or the “as such a time as this” fundraiser. PVMC friends, you have been very generous!  Thank you for your generosity!

Let’s remember how generous God has been to us as we seek Him.  Our God is wonderfully generous and His gifts are freely given.  1 Timothy 6:17, “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.”  

He made that ocean that I enjoy so much!  Psalm 8: 3-4, “When I consider your heavens,the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”  God made the rivers and mountains. “He made 400,000 species of flowers, 200,000 species of edible plants, 10,000 species of birds and stars too numerous to count.” He gives us opportunities beyond our capabilities. James 1: 17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”  Not only has God been and will continue to be generous, He is also faithful.  Deuteronomy 7:9, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”  

He is the greatest Giver!  If you seek the presence of God, you will see the glory of God!
