Celebrate The One!
A while ago, we had someone come forward at Pine Valley United Methodist Church and commit their life to Jesus Christ. I don’t know who, what service, or when. It doesn’t matter. Heaven was rejoicing, and so should we!
What are we celebrating? We are celebrating that someone acknowledged that Jesus Christ died for their sins and that He rose again. We are celebrating that they surrendered their life to Jesus and made Him King of their life. We are celebrating that through their faith in Jesus, they can have confidence that their sins are forgiven and that they will spend eternity with God! Romans 10:9-10, “...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.”
We are all precious in His sight! Let us remember Luke 15:4-5, “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? When he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders.” Thank you, PVUMC, for celebrating the one! Let’s continue to keep the main thing the main thing: making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!
