The Karma Bus

"My dream job would be driving the karma bus."  I recently saw this and to be honest, I did think it would be fun to drive the karma bus for an hour!  But then I would have to be the one riding the bus also and that would not be as fun!  Matthew 7: 1-3, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  'Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?'"  I keep picturing Pastor Tim “shoveling” God’s grace on us and us using a teaspoon to “shovel” grace on others!

When we are wronged or hurt it does seem like we want retaliation but God expects us to act differently and bring glory to Him.  We are undeserving but God continuously shows us grace and mercy.  God actually expects us to love those people and the last thing I want to do is like them.

1 Peter 3: 8-11, " Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.  Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.  For, 'Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.  They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.'"  I can "love" sometimes when it is hard to "like" someone.  God encourages us to love one another, be compassionate and humble, and repay evil with a blessing.

As Michael Jackson’s song, “Man In The Mirror” said,  I’m starting with the man in the mirror…. If they wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and then make a change.   We will never regret blessing those who have wronged us and doing the right thing by showing love because God says love never fails.  1 Corinthians 13: 8, "Love never fails.”

“Forgiveness is not affecting them, it is infecting you!”
