District Awakening Rally

I am thanking God for our District Awakening Rally at PVMC! I thank Him for His continued guidance and discernment as we build His Kingdom. We celebrated our new journey with the Global Methodist Church, being in communion with God through worship by Willing Heart!

We studied Luke 24:13, “Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus…” Like Reverend David Banks, I had not thought about these two people only being referred to as “them”. They were ordinary people, like us, on a journey. God is with us on this journey. We have heard that starting the GMC is like building an airplane while it is in the air. We are working by faith, not sight which means we are trusting God to guide us!

2 Chronicles 7:14, “...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Wake up, church! We believe everybody needs Jesus! Psalm 80:18-19, “Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.”

While we were worshiping, our youth heard from the energetic Pastor Chris Thore to be cautious of what the world is telling them. Carrie, our children’s minister, said she just wanted the kids to worship and that is what they did! Proverbs 22:6, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” There was something for everyone!
