How Great Thou Art!

Singing “How Great Thou Art” summed up our second night of revival!  You could feel the power of the Holy Spirit and I believe Shipyard Blvd could hear us!  Pastor Tim said we sang like we serve a risen Savior!!  He reminded us to worship like we want.  What if a man gets rowdy during worship?  “It’s a lot easier to calm a wild horse down than get a dead mule to move.”

Pastor Andy Lambert told us Satan didn’t want us to hear the message God had for us.  Pastor Tim prayed away any hindrances and cast them out in the name of Jesus! I have read Paul’s letter about putting on the full armor of God but in true Andy fashion, he put a new spin on it. (Ephesians 6: 10-18) Pastor Andy talked to the enemy of the soul, Satan, the father of lies, the devil and addressed each part of the armor.  Satan doesn’t hide anymore - he is out in the open.  If people knew that he is the enemy of the soul they might take him more seriously.  He lies to us and our children.  Pastor Andy told him to keep his hands off our children, family, Wilmington, our schools and our businesses.

I love his analogy of the devil as a chess player.  The devil may have tipped the King over and said game over but the King had another move!  How great thou art!  Our Landlord (the Lord of the land) tells us to stand our ground and He will equip us!  Verse 13, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.”  Our faith is not in our grip on Him but His grip on us!  When Satan reminds us of our past we need to remind him of his future!  We have victory through Jesus!  How great Thou art!

If our children were going into battle we would cover them.  Pastor Andy said they go into battle everyday!  We need to have a holy humble boldness to come together as the body of Christ and move that property line!  We can’t let Satan take what is ours!

Thank you, again, Pastor Andy, for sharing with a holy humble boldness!  May God continue to bless you and your ministry!
