You Are Loved

Forget Valentine's Day!  I’m just waiting for the discounted chocolate on sale tomorrow!  Some people just want the day over.  Some miss their loved one and some do not have a valentine.  I hope you are reminded of the greatest love in your life -the  Lord’s love for you throughout the day!  You are deeply cared for and loved in every way.  1 John 3: 1, “What marvelous love the Father has extended to us!  You’re loved with a love that’s HIGHER than the sky, DEEPER than the ocean, MORE than you can imagine, MORE than you’ve ever dared to dream.”  You are loved!  Not just a little, but a lot…not just today, but always….not just by anyone, but by the One who created you in His love!

If you are one who wants love letters and flowers, you get that too!  God has given us the ultimate love letter - His Word!  In John 3: 16 God tells us how much He loves us, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

1 John 4: 16, "God is love."  Psalm 136:26, "His love endures forever." We are sent flowers, even in the winter!  Soon we will see daffodils, daisies, tulips and azaleas followed by blooming dogwoods, magnolias, hydrangeas and hibiscus.  Nature reveals His love and I think that is why I am drawn to it. We are so loved!

Valentine’s Day is one more reason to thank God for all of you!  To tell you that you are a wonderful blessing and to remind you of what a special friend you are!  Philippians 1: 7, “You have a special place in my heart.  We share the special favor of God.”  You are my brothers and sisters in Christ which makes us family!  If you are having a tough Valentine's Day, do something for someone else having a tough time and you will be blessed.  I like to take chocolate to those who may not be getting a valentine. Happy “you are loved” day, PVMC family!  Roses are red, Violets are blue. I’m so blessed to have a friend like you!
