A ministry of meaningful service, the Altar Guild prepares the communion elements and helps create a welcoming, sacred space for worship. Serving is an opportunity to care for the details of worship and help our church family encounter Christ through Holy Communion. Click HERE to see more about this ministry.
A ministry that celebrates God’s creation while serving and supporting animals in our local community. Through partnerships with local animal and community organizations, we offer care, encouragement, and resources to animals and the people who love them. This is a yearly event held on the last Saturday of September.
Each Christmas season, our Christmas Outreach ministry shares the love of Christ with those in need by providing hot meals, essential resources, and a welcoming place to experience the hope and joy of Christmas. Through the generosity and service of our church family, we extend God’s love to our local community.
Common Thread creates handmade butterfly pillowcases to bring comfort, dignity, and a reminder of God’s love to hospice patients and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Through this simple gift of compassion, volunteers offer encouragement and a tangible expression of care to those facing difficult seasons.
The Connect Team helps create a warm and welcoming worship experience each week. Through greeting, ushering, offering assistance, and helping people feel at home, this team is often the first point of connection for those who walk through our doors.
Connection Café volunteers serve food, coffee, and refreshments on Sundays, creating a welcoming space for people to gather, connect, and enjoy fellowship between services.
The Cooking Team prepares and serves meals for Wednesday nights, outreach ministries, and special events. Through food and fellowship, volunteers help nourish our church family and extend hospitality to our community.
The Flower Ministry delivers flowers and encouragement to those who are unable to attend worship in person. Through connection and a simple gift of beauty, volunteers help ensure that members of our church family remain connected, remembered, and cared for.
Through Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, volunteers pack shoeboxes filled with gifts and essentials for children around the world. This ministry is a simple way to share God’s love, joy, and hope with children who may be facing difficult circumstances.
prayer ministries:
All Nations His Kingdom Prayer Group: The All Nations His Kingdom Prayer Group gathers weekly to pray for our nation, our world, and God’s Kingdom. Through faithful prayer, members seek God’s guidance, peace, and transformation for our communities and people around the world.
Home Prayer Warriors: Home Prayer Warriors provides an opportunity to pray from home for the needs of our church, congregation, and community. It’s a meaningful way for those who are unable to attend in person to remain connected and actively participate in the prayer life of our church.
Monday Morning Prayer Ministry: The Monday Morning Prayer Group gathers each week to pray over the prayer requests of our church and congregation. Together, we lift up the needs of others and seek God’s presence, guidance, healing, and peace.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry knits and crochets blankets and shawls to offer comfort, peace, and encouragement to those experiencing hardship. Each handmade item is a tangible reminder of God’s love and the care of our church community.
Stephen Ministry pairs trained caregivers with individuals in our church who are going through difficult seasons. Through compassionate listening, prayer, and encouragement, Stephen Ministers provide caring support and remind others that they are not alone.

Enice Bowen Circle:The Enice Bowen Women’s Circle gathers monthly for meaningful fellowship, stimulating programs, and opportunities to grow together. Members also participate in community outreach and service projects, putting faith into action and making a difference beyond the church.
Mary-Ellen Whitfield Circle: The MEW Circle meets monthly to participate in service projects and mission work that make a difference in our community. The group also helps coordinate Breakfast with Santa, creating opportunities for fellowship and bringing joy to local families.
Ogden By The Sea Circle: OBTS focuses on local social action, helping individuals and families in need through service and outreach. The group supports Operation Christmas Child putting faith into action throughout our community and beyond.
music ministries:
The Bridge Band: The Bridge Band is a team of vocalists and instrumentalists who lead worship for our contemporary services on the Wilmington campus. Through music, they help create an engaging worship experience and invite our congregation to encounter God through song. Led by Christian Vandenberg.
Chancel Choir: The Chancel Choir leads worship through music in our traditional services, using their voices and gifts to inspire, encourage, and help our congregation connect with God through song. Led by Karl Marzolf.
Instrumentalists: The Instrumentalists help lead worship through music in our traditional services, sharing their musical gifts to enhance worship and inspire our congregation through song. Led by Karl Marzolf.
Leland Worship Team: The Leland Worship Team is a team of vocalists and instrumentalists who lead worship for our Leland Campus . Through music, they help create an engaging worship experience and invite our congregation to encounter God through song. Led by Terry Waddell.
Paid In Full (Men’s Choir): Paid in Full is a men’s choir and seasoned vocal ensemble that helps lead worship in our traditional services and at special events. Through music and fellowship, members share their gifts and help create meaningful worship experiences. Led by Karl Marzolf.
Sisters In Song (Women’s Choir): Sisters in Song uses the gift of music to lead worship in our services and bring encouragement to those who are unable to attend. The group also shares music with shut-ins and residents of local nursing facilities, bringing joy, hope, and connection through song. Led by Carol Stockwell.
Spirit Ringers (Handbells): The Handbell Choir helps lead worship through music in our traditional services, using bells to create beautiful and meaningful worship experiences. Members practice weekly and share their musical gifts with the congregation. Led by Maura Johnson.
The Tech Team serves behind the scenes to help create a seamless worship experience. Volunteers support worship through running sound, stage lighting, cameras, livestreams, and presentation slides, using their technical gifts to help others engage in worship both in person and online.
The Methodist Men gather monthly for breakfast, fellowship, and mission planning. Through friendship, service, and faith in action, members work together to support the church and make a difference in the community.
