Ridiculous to Miraculous

I had felt God nudge me to share a specific story on my blog and I really did not want to.  I fought it because I didn’t want to share that much.  When the nudges continued, I knew I had to.  God did amazing things with that blog and I heard from several members about it.  It is always amazing to me to see how God uses things.  A member here shared with me, on the phone, what that blog meant to him.  He said he could not believe that God told me to do the same thing God had told him to do.  He said he thought God only did that to him!  He said he understood I would have felt ridiculous sharing but he needed to read it.  Thank You, God, for constantly teaching me lessons.

We went on to talk about how God uses things.  He knows God has a plan but sometimes it is hard to understand.  Everything is not going to be rainbows and butterflies.  Remember Jeremiah 29: 11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” We are going to have tribulation.  John 16: 33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  But God uses everything for our good if we love Him.  Romans 8: 28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

In a staff meeting, Pastor Tim shared how God can make a message with our mess.  He shared this quote, “When we do the ridiculous, God does the Miraculous!” I am sure Moses felt ridiculous holding up a stick!  God split the sea!  Naaman, a Syrian commander, was a leper.  Elisha told Naaman to bathe in the Jordan River seven times and he would be clean.  It seemed ridiculous since the Jordan River was dirty but God did the Miraculous and Naaman’s skin was clean!  God is still doing the miraculous!

We are all to witness.  Has God been good to you?  How has God helped you or your family?  This is your story and someone needs to hear it.  Ask God to help you witness and to show you who to witness to.  Our faith begins to grow as we witness to others, hearing ourselves and realizing, again and again, how faithful He is!  As our faith grows it is a witness to others that we believe what the Bible says!

“Your life as a Christian should make nonbelievers question their disbelief in God.”
