The Samaritan's Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, collects shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and personal care items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way.

Our Ogden By The Sea circle has been making the most precious puppets, crocheted headbands and hair ties. They transform dollar babydolls dressing them in home made  clothes. They have made necklaces, a carved Jesus sign, pillow case dresses, shorts for the boys. Bags were crocheted to hold soap and can double as a washcloth. Every year the homemade gifts get bigger and better - so much love in these handmade gifts. For the older girls they make sewing kits and for the older boys they make fishing kits. “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

When the children receive the shoe boxes they are invited to go on the greatest journey, a 12 week class. They have to commit to witnessing to three people and they receive a New Testament Bible in their native language. Millions of children have accepted Jesus through this ministry. The children then go back to share with their parents and their village. Because of this churches are now being planted in these areas! What a ministry that we can all be a part of! Mark 16: 15, "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."
